Hi! Come back with a great news ♡ So, i've been asked by Gogirl Magazine to made a beauty product review and this month is all about hair straightner / curler! It turns out that it's for their 11th Anniversarry issues, whoaa i feel so honored. And in the previous post, many asked me personaly how to achieve that curls with only straightner and 'jedai'. So i decideD to make this post to share the tutorial ^^
My mini review on Gogirl! Magazine 11th Anniversary - February 2016 issues
The product : Phillips HP8310 Salon Straight Active ION
(+)
ION technology for shiny, smooth, and frizz free hair.
Has a slide lock on the bottom to made storage easy.
Has ceramic plates which are supposed to be gentle & smooth gliding on your hair.
Can be used for straightner & curler with natural result, less hair damage.
The effect lasts almost 5-9 hours.
Fast heat up time, ready to use in 60 seconds.
Automatic shut-off after 60 min.
Universal voltage.
(-)
Doesn't have a temperature control, only 210°C.
Can't be used on half-dried hair.
So, here's the step by step!
1. Start with completely dry hair. Wet hair won't curl at all, and damp hair won't curl as well. Then, comb your hair to make sure there's no tangled hair left.2. Heat the iron up, part your hair into section, and grab the section of hair you want to curl (it's even better if you're using hair protectant first)
3. Start half-way down the length of hair, clamp the iron closed and rotated the hair straightener a full turn (turning the hair over onto itself, sort of creating a loop). Hold it for a few seconds and slowly move the iron from your hair. Repeat for another layer of your hair.
4. Gently run your fingers through your hair and tousle it. You'll get a little more volume and natural look. You can also put hair spray to keep them sleek and tight throughout the day. Since i have a straight limp hair, i prefer to use 'jedai' to finish it up for daily use.
My all time favourite, 'jedai' aka Jepit Badai
As you know 'jedai' it's popular for Indonesian girls nowadays to achieve the curl that looks like you came out from salon, with only hair clip. If you're probably wondering what's 'jedai' means, it's all came from Indonesian slang word. 'Jedai' aka Jepit Badai = storm/typhoon hairclip. Idk who made that name but it's kinda lol, maybe it's because everytime we look into someone beautiful/handsome or amazed with something, we called them : Wow, you look so badai! Well... ✌
Anyway, all you have to do is grab your hair into one section like you want to made a pony tail and keep roll and roll the hair inside. Finish it with clip the 'jedai' to hold your hair under the folds and wait for 1-3 hours (the longer, the better) and voila! You can achive the volume and big curl like you came out from salon!
I think it's all from me. Hope this tutorial will be useful for you and also thankyou GoGirl! Magazine for featuring me. See you in the next post! ♥
